LIBRARY
The College Library
located in ‘Valmiki’, comprises the Main and the Fiction Library. In
addition, a Training Library for the three Wings is being maintained in
the University Division.
The
Main Library comprises the non-fiction section and has an exhaustive
collection of books ranging from vintage to the latest releases.
Students desirous of obtaining a book not held by the library can inform
the same to the Library staff and the book is procured at the earliest.
Creation of an E-Library is in progress and a large number of
periodicals/journals have already been loaded onto its database. No
subscription is charged for the use of the main library. Special
permission may be obtained from the Librarian by the student officers,
should their wives wish to draw books from the main library to pursue
their studies. They can be issued up to three books only at a time.
There is no restriction on their use of the library during working
hours.
The membership of
the Fiction Library is open to all officers of the DSSC, members of the
Wellington Gymkhana Club, those on the garrison strength in Wellington,
and others by special permission of the Brigadier General Staff (BGS).
All officers on joining the DSSC automatically become members of the
Fiction Library. Families of such members are also permitted to use this
library. Subscription will be charged monthly through the Officers' Mess
Bill.
PRODUCTION
DEPARTMENT
 
The
Production department is responsible
for production and distribution of all cyclostyled/Xeroxed/printed
material, charts, sketches, traces and map overprints in single/multi
colours. It also handles the following :-
Prep
of enlargements.
Blue
Printing.
Printing
of training material.
Prep of sand models.
Screening
of 35 MM entertainment films in Mulla. Maintain of film projectors.
Provision
of PA eqpt and Radio Comn at all functions in DSSC/WGC.
INFORMATION
TECHNOLOGY RESOURCE CENTRE (ITRC)
The ITRC handles all the computer related
matters at this college. All the
classrooms, DD rooms as also the houses are connected thorough the LAN
on to the college intranet. The ITRC also manages the Mail services,
IP Telephony and video conferencing facilities which are set up during
